  • March 19, 2020: Book Launching of "Gods and Heroes" and Art exhibition of original paintings by Oladele Olusanya and other artisits depicting scenes from Yoruba history and mythology described in "Itan - legends of the golden age" series. Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos.


  • February 28, 2020: "Art with Fashion" Exhibition featuring 12 original acrylic on canvas by Oladele Olusanya to showcase the Kim O and J Bolin debut Fashion Collection, Dallas Texas


  • February 15, 2020: Nigerian edition of "Gods and heroes" published by Maven released and available in bookstores. E-book also available from


  • August 1, 2019: "A Time of Troubles," Book 2 of the Itan - legends of the golden age trilogy, released by Xlibris, USA


  • May 1, 2019: "Gods and heroes" released as an audiobook by Narrated by Nene Nwoko and Bukola Ayeni.  


  • Sept 26,2019: "A Time of Troubles' published as Audiobook, available on Audible and iTunes


  • July 31, 2019: A TIME OF TROUBLES, Itan - Legends of the golden age. Book 2 published by Xlibris. This book has received 4 stars out of 4 from the Online Book Club


  • July 30, 2019: "A Time of Troubles" published by Xlibris as hard-cover, softcover and e-book.


  • Dec 8, 2018: 1stBook Launching of ‘Gods and heroes’ in the U.S. Venue: Charter Medical Center, 8067 W. Virginia Drive, Dallas TX 75237. The event combines an Art Exhibition of original art works based on the book and a Yoruba cultural extravaganza with music, talking drum and traditional dance.




  • Nov 17, 2018: The author receives the O’odua Image Award given by the Yoruba Youth Corporation of America in Houston Texas. By this award, Dr Olusanya was named the CULTURAL AMBASSADOR of the Yoruba people in North America.


  • Nov 15, 2018:Media interview by Bamidele Famuofo of THISDAY Magazine in Lagos


  • Nov 13, 2018: Radio interview by Michael Olatunbosun for SPLASH FM 105.5, Ibadan


  • Nov 8-16, 2018: Dr Oladele Olusanya goes on a Promotional Book Tour for ‘Gods and heroes’ deep in the heart of Yorubaland in West Africa. He visits the Alaafin of Oyo on Friday Nov 9, where the Alaafin gave the author an autographed copy of his own book and received a framed art work Oyo Warriors at the Battle of Atakpame, based on an illustration in ‘Gods and heroes.’ The author was at the palace of the Awujale of Ijebuland on Monday, Nov 12, and of the Olubadan of Ibadan on Tuesday Nov 13 where he gave the Olubadan a framed art work Aarin and the Warrior from Ife,depicting a scene from Book 2 of the ‘Itan – legends of the golden age’ series. Arrangement were made in Ibadan for the printing of the Nigerian edition of ‘Gods and heroes’ with Booksellers Ltd to be issued before the Nigerian Book Launching in Lagos in March/April 2019.


  • Nov 4, 2018: 3rdrevision of ‘Gods and heroes,’ with a final correction and re-arrangement of pages.


  • Sept 26, 2018: 2nd revision of ‘Gods and heroes,’ to correct minor typographical errors.


  • Sept 1, 2018:   Press Release for ‘Gods and heroes’ sent by Xlibris to 1000 news media outlets in the U.S.



  • Aug 1, 2018:   ‘Gods and heroes’ by Oladele Olusanya is published by Xlibris USA. It is released in hardcover, softcover and e-book format.


  • Aug 5, 2018:   Pacific Book Review releases its official book review containing high critical praise for ‘Gods and heroes’ with the statement that “Gods and heroes may be the first step in placing the myths of the Yoruba people among the best in the world of legend.”
